Raffle Prize Fundraising We are proud to have many vendors sponsor the Annual Pismo Jamboree. Raffle tickets will be available for purchase at the event booth during the event leading up to the raffle after dinner on Saturday night. The raffle tickets will be $5 each, 3 for $10, 10 for $25. Traditionally we have sent net proceeds of the raffle fund to the Friends of Oceano Dunes (http://www.oceanodunes.org/) organization to help keep Oceano Dunes SVRA open to the public but due to the recent tragic accident at the MDR California 200 race in Lucerne Valley on August 14, 2010 we have opted to donate the net proceeds to FAST-aid (http://www.fast-aid.org/california-200.html). Your raffle donation will greatly help California 200 tragedy. |
We face the reality of losing many of our trails we enjoy exploring. The closures of many of our beloved trails are partly due to the unsanitary conditions left by fellow explorers that do not do their part to "pack it in - pack it out". We would love to continue enjoying exploring Oceano Dunes SVRA and would like our members and participants to collect any trash you locate.
The Ranger Station offers free trash bags with your camping pass, so please make sure to receive them and use them to your potential. The park does not offer any trash services so please make sure to pack out any and all trash to the main recycling and trash dumpster found at pole 2.
Please make sure to clean up around your camp site when departing from the event. We strive to leave our camp area cleaner than we had found it. |
